We are excited to announce the 5th edition of the Travesía Rosa, scheduled for October 5, 2024 at 7 am (meeting time) from the Club Universitario Buenos Aires with arrival at the Club Naútico San Isidro between two and three hours after the start of the crossing.

We have understood that we are a de facto NGO and that we must work as such. That is why this year we are making adjustments again to be able to continue growing, helping and taking the message of prevention further and further,

Potenciar solidario will be the NGO that will receive the funds raised and transform them into mammograms. We are also accompanied by OWA, Club Naútico San Isidro and Club Universitario Buenos Aires, as donors and collaborators and we are looking for more sponsors to fully cover the cost of the trip and thus be able to allocate more funds to the purchase of mammograms.

The crossing will be from the Club Universitario Buenos Aires, we will embark and go to the starting point at the border between the Federal Capital and the Province of Buenos Aires on the Rio de la Plata. We will enter the water and swim 11 km to the ramp at the end of the Club Naútico San Isidro.

Project Goals

1 in 8 women may develop breast cancer in their lifetime. If detected in time, the prognosis is very good. Have check-ups once a year, take care of yourself. Travesía Rosa raise funds for mammograms to help detect breast cancer early and prevent avoidable death.

Important Information about Registration for Travesía Rosa:

Thank you for your interest in registering for the Travesía Rosa. Here is some important information to help you complete your registration and participate in the event:

1. **Medical Certificate**: You must present a medical certificate that specifies that you are fit for open water activities.
2. **Photocopy of your National Identity Card**: You must submit a photocopy of your National Identity Card (DNI).
3. **Open Water Experience**: This event requires participants to have experience in open water swimming.
4. **Course and Duration**: The course has an approximate distance of 10 km and the estimated duration is 4 hours. During the course, we will make stops to wait for participants who are lagging behind, which can lead to some chilly moments. You will need a wetsuit for comfort and protection.
5. **Character of the Event**: It is essential to emphasize that this event is not competitive, but rather a solidarity event. The Travesía Rosa focuses on collaboration and mutual support among all participants. Attached you will find the swimmer’s commitment. It is important that you check it.
6. **Donation**: The registration donation is $92.000. You will receive a silicone event cap and your space on the website and social media for others to donate on your behalf.
